Quotes

  • “The gender approach goes beyond the data and the indicator to measure (…) it goes with the ways in which it is done, with the work structure, with the impact it has, with the number of women or gender dissidents who manage to recognize, understand, appropriate and get involved in the process”

    Ana Gabriel Zúñiga Aponte

Responsible for gender and data policy at ILDA

    Interview, August 24

  • “When we think about individual participation, it is important to promote the necessary “care” policies. Therefore, when we increase spaces, compensations and other types of elements, we are improving women's participation, because “care” is socially perceived as a woman's job.”

    Silvana Fumega

Director of the Global Data Barometer

Taken from OGP: Faces of Open Government, November 19, 2019

  • “Participation and representation must be significant and effective, that is, they have influence in decision-making and not only as a consultative body. This participation must take into account the diversity within the different groups of women and LGBTIQ+ people”

    Hassel Fallas

Data and inclusion coordinator at ILDA

    Interview, August 27
